Trekking to the far end of the world - Torres del Paine National Park, Chile

Hidden away from the rest of the world, Torres del Paine National Park in Southern Patagonia, Chile is a beautiful gem that completely blew my mind during our 5 day trek last week. I still dream about it every night and can't wait to go back.

What is it about lighthouses?

I love lighthouses. And I know I'm not the only one. The attraction lighthouses has on me is equivalent to what lots of people feel when they see a brand new Aston Martin in the street or probably how a horse enthusiast feels when a proud Arabic horse is running across the fields in the sunset. First BCU 4 Star Training this spring.

skapad 2012-05-19 i 'Green Adventures Blog'

During the weekend of 18-20 May we are in the Lysekil area to focus on some BCU 4 Star Training. Our base is the kayak center that is run by Torbjörn and Katrine from Nautopp. It's three days full of fun paddling, lots of problem solving, interesting leadership discussions, coastal navigation and tidal planning and of course, a lot of the time is being spent in the water for different types of deep water rescues.

Another fun thing to add, is that during the first day on the course, there were three Arrow Nuka kayaks and one Arrow Empower on the water. I doubt that that has happened in Sweden on a course before. They looked really good too!

I also got the chance to try my new life jacket, the Halo from Palm and I really liked it!
